In the second half of the match between Boca and Racing, coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena introduced Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia at the 32nd minute, replacing Miguel Merentiel, who had scored the equaliser.

At the 36th minute, a pass from Sebastián Villa left Valencia in one-on-one with the Academy’s goalkeeper. His left-foot shot went over the bar. In stoppage time, after a pass from Ascacibar, Valencia moved from left to right, positioned himself on the right side, and struck from outside the box. The shot went wide, far from the target, despite no defender marking him.
