Valencia Club de Fútbol and PUMA have officially unveiled the new HOME 2026-27 kit, a jersey loaded with symbolism that will accompany the club in a historic season. The main novelty of the design is the incorporation of the Rojo Torino color alongside the traditional white valencianista, a combination that connects the club's history to pay tribute to the identity and eternity of Mestalla. White has been the representative color of Valencia since its founding in 1919, while Rojo Torino has become the most used alternative color throughout its history. According to the documentation preserved by the Department of Historical Heritage of the VCF Foundation, the first reference to the use of the red color dates back to March 4, 1928, during a Copa match against Sevilla FC. Over time, Rojo Torino also played a starring role in Valencia's debut as a local team in Primera División. On November 29, 1931, the valencianista team thrashed Real Unión de Irún 5-1 at Mestalla wearing a red kit that the newspapers of the time defined as «the vermellón team of great victories». Throughout the decades, red has been present in some of the club's most important matches, including several Copa finals. It was the color chosen in the finals of 1934, 1937, 1946, and 1970, becoming one of the most recognizable identity signs of Valencia CF outside of its usual uniform. Its legacy also transcended national borders. During the sixties, the team used different versions of the red kit in European competitions such as the Copa de Ferias, a tournament in which it began to build its international prestige. Later, in the eighties and nineties, it continued to be part of the valencianista imagination with different designs and tones. Already in the 21st century, the club recovered Rojo Torino in a special edition during the 2012-13 season and, more recently, in the AWAY kit of the 2021-22 campaign. Last season, 2025-26, it was again the protagonist with a monochrome design of nostalgic inspiration. Now, in a campaign marked by the farewell to Mestalla, Rojo Torino returns to the forefront to merge with the traditional white in a jersey destined to occupy a special place in the history of Valencia CF, celebrating the memory of an eternal stadium and strengthening the bond between generations of valencianistas. But what makes this new kit so special is the attention to detail, with the Rojo Torino color being used in a way that pays homage to the club's rich history. So, the new kit is not just a new design, but a way to connect with the past and look to the future. The kit will be available for purchase soon, and fans can get their hands on it to show their support for the team. The new kit is a must-have for any valencianista, and it's a great way to celebrate the club's history and look to the future.
