The ex-forward, who spent 10 years at United, explained that Bruce's call was decisive in his decision. 'Steve Bruce told me to sign for Manchester United, and that's what I did, and it was the best decision,' he said. Valencia, who played for Wigan before joining United, highlighted Bruce's key role in his career. 'Not only did Wigan give me the opportunity to play for United, but the club and especially Steve Bruce played a fundamental role in my signing,' he emphasized.
