Valencia Club de Fútbol is accelerating its search for a full-back amid the progress in André Almeida's transfer to Swansea City. According to Superdeporte, Almeida’s move could be finalized in the coming hours, which is pushing Valencia to expedite their plans for strengthening that key position.
The transfer market had stalled after Thomas Munier’s failed free signing, an acquisition that did not fully meet the club's criteria. The late arrival of Andrés García also disrupted primary plans, leaving Valencia with the choice between a low-cost gamble or investing in a more established player.
Despite Almeida's relatively modest fee, it provides Valencia with greater flexibility to seek a full-back who aligns with coach Carlos Corberán’s vision. He is looking for an upgrade in a position plagued by injuries and inconsistency.
In this context, the club has two main options: Arnau Martínez of Girona and Daijiro Chirino.
